Polymer Coated latex Glove:
A thin coating of polymeric materials like hydrogels, acrylics, silicone polymer or polyeurethane that applied to the surface of glove.
This process imparts a non sticky surface to the gloves as well as acting as a second layer. This method has been widely accepted in that not only the polymer layer acts to cut off the tackiness, but as a coating.
Polymer coating also act as barrier against direct contact with the main base material like latex.
Nitrile gloves came to prominence in the 1990s as a leading latex alternative. Nitrile is a Synthetic Rubber produced from a copolymer Acrylonitrile and Butadiene (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2020).
Nitrile Glove has a higher puncture resistance and chemical resistance than latex glove. Nitrile glove not elastic or flexible as latex glove but more durable and resistant to chemicals beside eliminating the risk
of latex allergy reactions.
